Vincent’s house was absolutely beautiful, it sits right on Watauga lake and the views are breathtaking. My family visited from out of town and this was the perfect location for our family celebration. The kids were able to fish and played pool for hours. Plenty of space and was as peaceful as it gets. Would absolutely stay here again!

Host was very nice. House was big. Comfortable, clean beds. Host lives in attached dwelling and smokes in house. Primary bed and bath smelled like an ashtray. Floors throughout main level were really dirty; it was hard to cook for holidays because he didn’t have any oven safe dishes or barely any serving bowls. That was frustrating for the price we paid. We had no dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent or shower soap that you customarily have. We had to go buy it ourselves. Pool table and shuffleboard was fun for kids, but the smoke, cleanliness, and lack of decent kitchen supplies really dampened the experience, especially for the cost we paid to rent the place. River was cool. Just know you are right off the highway and not in a secluded location. You can hear police sirens, etc, at night.

We had an awesome stay at the Watauga Riverbend Retreat!! We had several family members from different states in town for a family reunion so this house was perfect for our stay!! An added bonus was that each separate family had their own bathroom with each bedroom. We did have our actual reunion at another location, but Vincent did allow us to have some local family members come over for a visit on another night since this home was more accommodating for everyone. We certainly appreciated that understanding and was very thankful for it. We loved the big dining room table for everyone to gather around to visit. The pool table, the shuffleboard table, the hot tub, the decks and especially the theatre room was certainly enjoyed!! Vincent made everything extremely easy and took care of any questions that came up. Our only problem was the fact that we just didn’t have more time to enjoy the fire pit and the yard more. We would definitely stay here again!
