Our stay was fantastic. John is kind, caring, and accommodating, and he has a lovely house. Even we had a relatively late arrival, John came out to welcome us and gave us a detailed tour of his house, and about what we can use and how we use them. We wanted two beds and he made us an air mattress. There's all the amenities, like full access to the kitchen area with complimentary k-cup coffees. The house was clean and everything was well organized. The queen bed in the guest room was so comfortable. He has a big backyard, and although we did not use the pool, the view was great. We stayed for a week and I got some chance to watch TV and have some conversations with him and his son Luke, both of whom are interesting people to talk to and can talk about any topics you're interested in. John's cat, Christopher, is an adorable cat, who likes lying on the floor, napping in a rocking chair, and meowing. John would also tell you the story of how he and Christopher found each other. Overall, great place, great people, and great value. Nice and peaceful neighborhood with easy access to everything (restaurants, shopping, interstate, etc.). Definitely recommend! Next time we find ourselves in Detroit area, we'd stay at John's place again.

John is the absolute best! Being at his place feels like home. Cozy everything which certainly helps in Michigan winters! Amazing location on a great street next to a park. Nice big backyard for roaming too. John went above and beyond and we can't thank him enough!

John provided a very relaxed and comfortable accommodation. As a host, he was very communicative and accommodating. It was a great place to stay with small children.
