Gail and Tom are originally from the Delaware/Hudson River Valley of upstate New York. From homebirth to homeschool, we raised our children there until 2006 . The epic decision to expand our territory began with visiting Ireland, which led to a cross country move to Colorado. We have been Airbnb hosts since 2012, and love the way hosting "brings the world to us!" Opening our home to people from over 45 countries and all parts of the USA always teaches us more about hospitality and preparing a warm welcome . In the "Four Corners" of Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico, we have easy access for desert , mountain, river valleys, high country and mesa! All seasons have their beauty, and are easy to adapt to, thanks to a moderate climate in Durango. Tom is a creative and experienced craftsman and renovator who can build or fix just about anything! His warm personality and smile is his trademark, and his Irish roots are part of his love for sharing stories, ideas, and conversation. Tom is great at noticing your needs, and offering his assistance. He loves to explore the natural scenic beauty of the area, and often "disappears" for a day off by the river or for time spent in the mountains. Gail has been everything from a cook, to a singer, to over 11 years working as a Cross Utilized agent for Skywest, operating flights for United Airlines at Durango-La Plata Airport. She is also a very "hands on" type of person who loves landscaping, gardening, writing, and creative pursuits. We appreciate the heritage spirit of the Southwest, the scenic beauty, and laid back Western style of Durango. With friendly people , a strong sense of community, culture, and connection with the outdoors, La Plata County is a great place to call home . If we had to choose a life motto, it might be "Live graciously ." For us, life is all about relationship.
