Situated in a quiet courtyard in the centre of the picturesque village of Embleton on the North Northumberland Coast. Poppy Cottage sleeps 4 plus cot in two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both bedrooms are upstairs. Family bathroom with bath and over bath shower, the bathroom has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. Downstairs there is an open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining room. Small enclosed gated patio/garden to the front of the property. A short 10-15 minute stroll will take you to the beautiful Embleton Bay, Poppy Cottage is a great base for exploring the North Northumberland coast. Close to local amenities including pubs, restaurants, shop, garage and children’s play park. Alnwick itself is a six mile drive away where you will be able to explore historic Alnwick Castle and gardens. Welcome pack provided.

Poppy Cottage is in an excellent location for a peaceful break, with a beautiful beach and local amenities close by, or for exploring the many attractions further afield. Clare was an excellent host who provided everything we needed to make our stay a lovely experience.
Clare was a fabulous host. She even arranged an early check in for us. The accommodation was clean and had everything you could ask for including extras such as the wonderful welcome pack, dog towel and treats. The area offered lots to do and the easy walk from the cottage to Embleton bay was very handy for getting the dogs onto the beach and walking to Newton by the sea, Beadnell and Dunstanburgh. We will definitely be back soon!
Such a delightful place and area to stay. Clare had personalised a welcome basket for me with goodies. Clean and well equipped cottage with all the information i would need to explore the area. Very comfortable bed. Look forward to returning next year.

Northumberland has so much to offer, the Farne Islands, Holy Island, Bamburgh, Warkwarth, Berwick Upon Tweed and so many more wonderful places to explore, all easily accessible from your base at Poppy Cottage.
There is a parking for one car directly in front of Poppy Cottage, further on street parking is available close by in the village.
