Bob was a warm, wonderful host. We appreciated his beautiful farm, full of blooming coffee trees. We also enjoyed learning about his other plantings, including the ones, which make his property so full of butterflies. The house was pristine and we very much appreciated the flexible check-in/out.

2nd time to stay here. Loved it as much as the first time. Will always be our 1st choice on the Big Island. Thank you, Bob! Loved the apple bananas, too!

We love Lehuula Farms! We stayed at Bob and Mae's place last year and loved it so much we came back. It's a simple and cozy one bedroom cottage with a kitchenette. It's not fancy but it's stocked with the essentials. Most importantly, the cottage has a coffee grinder, french press coffee maker, and a sample of the amazing coffee beans grown on the farm. The wi-fi was good enough for 2 of us to work remotely - one worked on a table in the bedroom and the other worked on the kitchen table. Bob shared good ideas of things to do and places to eat. It's such a fun and unique place to stay: we woke to the smell of roasting coffee, Bob gave us a tour of his farm, we watched Yulian roast the coffee we bought to take home, we picked papayas and oranges to eat, we enjoyed the view, and we enjoyed just wandering around the farm.

If you want to get into rural life in Hawaii and leave the touristy stuff to others, this place is it. Bob and Mae were especially helpful. Everything was there you would likely want in an AirBnB plus things you probably haven’t had the pleasure of having like a decent nonstick fry pan and an ice box with ice packs that are very helpful in shopping should your stay require it. We got an education on coffee plants along with coffee processing from start to finish including roasting. We missed the picking as it was the wrong time of year. We were offered fruits and vegetables from trees and the greenhouse including avocados, papayas, macadamia, tomatoes, green onions, cucumbers, tangerines, oranges, bananas, and passion fruit, but of course you have to be there at the right time. Bob even rounded up a macadamia cracker. We were also lucky enough to get an invitation to a birthday gathering for Bob, which gave some local color.

Had a great stay at the farm, quiet and peaceful. Bob was a great host and very accommodating. It was truly relaxing experience and top notch views and sunsets. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
