We have stayed with Anna before and we hope that we will again. Rossmoor is in a beautiful place and we haven’t stayed anywhere more relaxing and peaceful. Anna is a great host who responds quickly and is always happy to help.

A beautiful countryside escape, just 30 mins drive from York city centre. This was the perfect spot to use as our base for exploring York and the local surrounds. The place is exactly as described, with excellent amenities including a fully kitted kitchen and aga (!), fireplace with logs and kindling, stunning gardens and grounds housing a handful of horses and sheep. We fell in love on arrival and were gutted to say goodbye at the end of our trip.

A perfect location for a base to explore the area, but also the perfect place to stay put. Beautiful grounds and acres of space with lakes and wildlife complement a delightful cottage with everything we needed. Its remote location is an asset for quiet privacy, but directions were detailed and clear, so we had no trouble finding the place. Clean, tidy, warm, welcoming and spacious, we’ll be back for a longer stay soon.

Characterful, cosy cottage in a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was lovely to see birds of prey, rabbits and meet the horses on the estate. It was great to have a tennis court on site too. The cottage was warm and it was a treat to have a fire at night. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. It was also a handy location from which to explore York.

Anna was a wonderful hostess. She was so prompt with her responses and the place was immaculate. We stayed with our children and dog. The outdoor space was brilliant for play. It was so peaceful and we have enjoyed our stay over the Easter break. We will definitely book to stay here when we are next visiting York. We will also recommend it to our friends and family.
