The house is located in the area of Pantanassa, 13km west of Heraklion, 16km west from the airport of Heraklion and 9km west from Ammoudara. Pantanassa is part of the unique stretch of Cretan coastline for that reasons the beach in front of the house is a rocky one nevertheless the access to the sea is very easy. If you want to visit a sandy beach, the nearest is in the town of Ammoudara which you can also find out super-markets, shops, tavernas, scuba diving and anything else you may possibly need for your vacation. Remember, there is no such thing as a private beach on Crete – all of them, including the ones in front of hotels and beach clubs, are open to the public.

How to get to the house from the airport of Heraklion (16km):
1) By Taxi. There is a taxi station outside the airport of Heraklion. The ride is 15-20 min, depending on traffic and the cost is 30 Euros per ride. Alternatively, before your arrival you can contact me and I can book a taxi in advance for you. The taxi driver will wait at the airport with a name plate and help you with your suitcases. I would recommend this practice to the guests that want to reach the house by taxi, because the local taxi driver may not know the area of Pantanassa very well and therefore your arrival might be delayed. A well-informed taxi driver with specific directions is what you need, especially if you have small children and need the car to be equipped with a special car seat, or have a late night flight and want to reach your holiday destination with safety as soon as possible.
2) Rent a Car. If you book a car in advance, the representative can give you all the information you need about traffic, gas stations etc. The GPS coordinates for the house are: Latitude: (35.359837) & Longitude: (25.039215).
