A couple buddies and i spent the weekend fishing at bear necessities and Lisa’s place was exactly what we were looking for. Big lake with lots of hotspots and lisa was generous enough to let us use her motor boat. Would definitely go back again.

The Bear Necessities Cottage offers much more than the bear necessities! We had everything we needed for a lovely Thanksgiving Weekend: Beautiful views, well-equipped kitchen to cook our festive feast, fenced yard to play with our pup. Lisa is a kind and gracious host! We would have loved to use the canoe or kayak, but the weather did not cooperate this time.

We had a great stay at Lisa’s place. Very private, super clean and had everything as described. It’s even better than the pictures and I’d definitely come back.

We stayed at Lisa's for a week in July with our pup and can't wait to be back! The cottage was clean, spacious and had everything you would need for your stay. Not having to bring your own linens was also a big plus. The fully fenced property was also a huge bonus as we felt our pup was safe from wandering off. We spent most of our time at the dock/waterfront. The view is incredible all day but especially at sunset! We floated around, fished from the dock and our pup swam all day. We explored the lake in the boat Lisa was kind enough to rent to us as well. We didnt make it to the sand bar but plan to next time. There are plenty of instructions posted in the cottage and Lisa and her family were welcoming and very helpful.
