Hi, I’m Katie I am a Maine native, born in Bangor and raised in beautiful Bar Harbor as well as other coastal Maine communities. My dad owned a 40 foot lobster boat called the Katherine B and provided naturalist tours on Frenchman’s Bay when I was a child. I now live in the beautiful coastal town of Rockland, Maine which hosts wonderful arts, food, culture and maintains a certain native grit of its fishing village core. You can walk down to the harbor from my house and see the lobster boats come in at the end of day after maybe spending your time at the famous Farnsworth Art Museum and having a Lobster roll at Claws Seafood Shack just a few minutes from my AirBNB apartment. Being raised in Maine I have an innate love for the sea, the coast, the lakes and the mountains. I have camped on many islands off the coast of Maine as well as in the mountains. I have skied and hiked the Maine mountains and kayaked the lakes. This is a world full of great opportunities and exploration. I also have a pull for the arts, creating jewelry and artwork from those things found on Maine beaches and shores. As a host my goal is to make your stay at our apartment as memorable as possible. You can be sure that we will be respectful of your privacy as well as available to you if needed for travel and exploration advice. My greatest hope is that your experience in Maine will be one that calls you back again.
