The flat was clean and well equipped. The location is spot on being within walking distance of the town centre, beach and supermarkets but far enough away that there's not much traffic noise. We only had two problems: The loo seat badly needs to be adjusted/re-fitted (I was seriously tempted to go and buy a spanner and do it by the middle of the week). Fairly minor but such a simple thing to fix that it really shouldn't have been a problem. The mattress on the bed in the master bedroom is long past it's best (or cheap rubbish) - you can feel the structure of the bed frame through it. This was the biggest problem for us as it was near impossible to get a decent nights sleep on it and both had sore backs after the second night. We moved into the smaller room where the mattress was better. But the smaller room isn't really big enough for a double bed so you could only get in and out of one side which meant I had to climb over my other half if I needed to get up during the night and there was no dressing table or room for our luggage which meant dressing in the other room. We would happily stay again (so long as that mattress is replaced).

Really recommend this place! Its one block from the ocean/sea and close to many bars and restaurants in town. Also close to incredible golf and walking distance to two different walking/running paths. Flat was very comfortable with great beds and incredible shower with great pressure. Kitchen had whatever you would need to cook a meal. Ellen was great to work with and answered all questions quickly.

I can't fault the apartment, it is as described, clean, well maintained, had all the facilities I needed and in a good location.

Lovely home close to the beach and shops of Ayr. Great way to see the town and relax by the sea.
