Gretchen is a marvelous host. She was immediately responsive to us and we were very appreciative. The house is just lovely and as described. Unfortunately the weather was pretty lousy the week we were there and there were wonderful nooks and crannies for people to read and play games. The grounds are beautiful. It is just a lovely, peaceful place to stay. The one concern was that the dock was a bit old and rickety.

My family and bought this was the nicest of all the houses we’ve rented on Airbnb, and we have rented quite a few. The house is lovely, with airy bedrooms three of which face the water, very spacious (we had 6 people) and the view was magnificent. Ample spaces for multiple people to do phone calls or keep up with the office. The ability to just go a few steps and jump into the picture perfect lake really makes the house a destination in its own right. We spent hours on the paddle boards, in the kayaks and canoe, lounging on the dock or rocks at waters edge. The kitchen has literally everything you’ll need for family dinners - and there were even skewers for roasting marshmallows over the fire pit on our last night. Gretchen was VERY fast to respond to questions. You will not regret renting this house!!

Gretchen’s home is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped for a relaxing stay. The lake is gorgeous; we loved swimming and boating with our family and simply enjoying the beautiful views and birds. We enjoyed cooking meals in the spacious kitchen and gathering around the large dining table. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out and comfortably gather to talk and play. The Lincolnville General Store is a great spot nearby to pick up pizza or breakfast sandwiches, wine and a few groceries, and we enjoyed outings to Belfast, Camden and Rockland as well as some of the lovely parks and trails such as Owls Head lighthouse, all relatively close to the house (good distances for car naps for the little ones). Gretchen is kind and thoughtful - a wonderful host and her home is a very special spot!

Likely the best airbnb that we've ever stayed at! Quiet, comfort, great water front views, and excellent customer service from out host. We had 8 family members and had plenty of room to spread out, both indoors and out. Excellent kitchen for cooking meals. Kayaks, canoe, SUPs to enjoy the waterfront. Located 10 mins from Camden. Hope to be back one day. You will not be disappointed!

Deeply peaceful and perfectly appointed with everything you need to sleep well, eat well, and have fun. The photos are accurate, but do little to express the wonderful flow of the home, which enables a family to be together (or apart;-). The Wifi was great and working from here was seamless. Dusk is buggy by the lake and the screened-in porch extends the outdoors time well into the evening. Camden and Rockland are fun and Belfast is a gem - this house is perfectly located to explore it all.
