Easy check in, and a VERY interesting hotel. I thought it would be fun to try something new, and this was definitely something new. Each room is themed, and very cozy, with hand painted murals and decor. I didn’t notice when I booked that the beds are double, not queen, but that was my own oversight. However! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and let me change rooms to one with easier access to both sides of the bed. The shared bathrooms down the hall were clean and well kept, and harkened back to the building’s former life as a boarding house for miners, and possibly a bordello at one point. We easily drove to Moab for dinner, about 40 minutes, and a lovely drive with the afternoon/evening light. My daughter wished the building were less creaky and loud, but I think there was only one other guest, so it was not a big deal.

The Desert Moon is a wonderfully quirky propety that is a great spot to stay if you plan on going to Moab but with a more budget friendly price than staying in Moab. A big plus is that its private and there are some nearby attractions to check out like the Sego Canyon Petroglyphs

Perfect location for visiting Sego Canyon and a remarkable sunset. We love staying in historic buildings and this one was fun. Bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were really cool. Towels would have been a nice addition, but we made do. Also, se weren't quite sure how the coffee protocol went and we ended up accidentally drinking somebody else's coffee, but we worked it out.

Quirky and fun little place for a retreat. I'm sure it's even more fun in the warmer months to be outside. Will definitely come back. The only thing I would've added would've been a fire pit and maybe a grill outside to cook. But really bo complaints.

My pup and I spent a relaxing night in the Plant Room and felt right at home in the hotel! Rooms and bathrooms were nice and the place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay :) loved the peaceful vibe of the eclectic lil community
