The architect's house whilst not a modern slick villa is an excellent property to base your visit to Kefalonia. It is positioned a very short walk from the seafront of Assos. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The open plan living room kitchen is also great for family time. It is a property that has its own rustic character and charm. Perhaps it's only downside is the compact bathrooms ,adequate but small. Mimi is excellent at responding to any questions you may have. Assos is a wonderful place .

Mimi’s house was perfect for our week-long stay in beautiful Asos. October being the tail end of the tourist season, and getting cooler, the town felt relaxed. We made good use of the street-facing balcony for breakfast every morning and wine every other evening. We loved the character of the house, too, with its blue floors, doors and shutters. The tiniest and most beautiful pebbly beach on the opposite side of the cove was also less than 10 minutes walk away. Bliss! Side note: tourist busses park nearby between about 11am and 5pm, and some leave their engines running. They’re not a problem when you’re inside with doors closed, but if you want to relax and read a book outdoors during these times, plan to head to the beach.

Fantastic stay! The location is beyond perfect and Asos is the most perfect little escape. Mimi was really responsive and helped with any questions or queries we had.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Travelling as two couples, it was important for us to have two bathrooms, and the large sunny terrace was a great place to wind down after a busy day.

We had a lovely stay at The Architect's House. Assos is a gem of a place and the house is located very conveniently just a very short walk from the beach and all the lovely restaurants. A couple of small supermarkets are also very close by offering all the essentials. The house is very traditionally 'Greek' which we loved. The bathrooms and kitchen were adequate but the bedrooms were very comfortable and the outside terrace managed to be sufficiently private without making us feel cut off from Assos life and all the comings and goings. It is a hot tourist destination but it NEVER felt too much. It is not at all commercial; the locals have managed the balance extremely well. Yes, there are coaches and cars but they never bothered us as we were always at the beach in the afternoon. Mornings and evenings were very quiet. Highly recommend Assos!
