If you're looking for a glamping style adventure stay at Namaste Farms Working Sheep Farm, "The Treehouse." Situated on top of old growth Redwood stumps, this tiny treehouse is ornately built with stained glass windows and a suspended truck bed patio. The private detached outdoor shower and bathroom complete the rustic appearance and give "The Treehouse "an authentic glamping style feel. Please read the detailed description to make sure this is the appropriate adventure for you! 501c3 Know, you are supporting a 501c3, and being here is an educational experience! We thank you. The Treehouse is an amazing work of craftsmanship and is truly a glamping adventure. This space is tiny and the interior of the space is only large enough for an ornately decorated full size bed with the canopy. This means that you cannot fit more than two people in the treehouse, nor is there space for 2 people to sleep separately. In fact, as stated in the "rules" section, even a large dog is not possible because there is simply no room. On the outside of the treehouse is a completely covered truck bed which has a table and chairs from which to view the farm. You can sit outside and chat, eat, or just watch the animals wandering about. You may even have some of birds visit because they often nest inside the truck cab! Please know, there is a state of the art heater however, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. As far as ability to be cool, there is a vintage fan which is pretty powerful. Both doors to the inside of the treehouse may be opened and it is actually very comfortable except on the hottest of days. Temecula does cool off at night and it's so enjoyable to sit outside on the patio. If you want a glamping style experience in the heart of Temecula's Wine Country on a true working sheep farm, this is the place for you. Please read the rest of the information so you know what idiosyncrasies to expect during your stay. NOTE: Namaste Farms is a true working farm with copious amounts of sheep, goats, chickens, peafowl, and countless other animals. Along with those, we have free range squirrels, rabbits, flies, dust and yes, even free range spiders. If you're wanting a rustic experience that gives you a break from city life and you can handle dust, dirt, cobwebs (and these can happen over night inside your cottage and WILL be in the common areas), with sounds of animals vocalizing at all hours of the day and night, then Namaste Farms is a perfect fit for you. While most guests (and your hosts) see the idiosyncrasies and obvious cohabitation with animals and bugs beautiful, you may not. If your primary focus is on amenities, and you're looking for a completely dust/dirt, cobweb/bug, and animal/animal sound free experience, a working farm is probably not a good fit for you. Also, since many people don't read past this paragraph, PLEASE NOTE, we are dog friendly, but to keep our free range animals safe (and we have had them injured or killed by people not recognizing that dogs are predatory by nature), please keep your dog easily under control and on a short leash at all times. Also, because it's not possible to control your dog on a long line, dogs may NOT be tied or tethered anywhere on the property and they are not allowed to bark. For the TREEHOUSE only, a large dog cannot be accepted because there is simply no room. If you want to let your dog off leash, right down the dirt road and off property, there is a large scrub field where you can let your dog run free.Just know, you're supporting a 501c3 charity and all the revenue goes to support the animals. This booking is for the Treehouse, and while it's only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres, and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity. The Treehouse is a glamping adventure which means it's the equivalent of "glamorous camping." The bathroom and shower are detached and accessible via a small deck. We encourage guests to feel at home and enjoy the peaceful farm environment which extends beyond the cottage. If you have more guests in your group, please check out the Main Cottage, the Hay Barn cottage and Hammie in a separate listing. Please keep in mind that we are not a "pretend farm" set up so that we can attract people to our facility. This is an actual working farm where shepherdess, Natalie Redding (Nat Geo Wild's, Shear Madness) and her working dogs, Lacey, Lad and Nesta work every day. This means there is dirt, dust, chickens, peacocks, alfalfa, sheep, bugs, and other living beings associated with nature and farm life. People who've not had the opportunity to experience the beautiful and grounding life on a working farm may not understand this. I do stress that if you're an animal lover who is excited about staying at a true working farm, your co-guests may not share your verve. Please let them know there is dirt, dust, very little concrete or pavement, and they will surely leave with dust on their shoes. That said, I'm a frequent Louboutin wearer and I regularly chassé in my stilettos; dirt ground and all. We welcome you and hope you choose to stay with us. Working Sheepdog Experience or Namaste Farms Working Sheep Farm Experience, we can schedule a time if one doesn’t work for you!
We loved our stay in the charming treehouse. It made our trip to Temecula. We would definitely stay again.
The treehouse is unique and lovely. It is small as described, but it was so fun to stay in it . The bathroom was pristine. Sean was welcoming and gave great information about the area. I was thrilled to be supporting their non-profit. I’d love to come back !
The neighborhood is comprised of ranches and is very safe. You can order food easily through any of the typical apps.
Uber is only an app away and they're happy to oblige.

My name is Natalie Redding, and I'm a shepherdess. I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and have a B.S. and a M.S. in Animal Science. Farming is my passion and I teach fiber arts all over the world. There are 5 things I can't live without (in order of importance): Family Scrappy (my rescue BF) Crappy American Beer (no craft brews) Designer Stilettos Sugary foods I love guests who are interested in the farm experience. It makes my heart happy to answer questions regarding what I do or what owning a farm entails. While I'm a very hands off host, you're happiness is paramount and I'm here to help in any way I can. My life motto is, "I'd rather be around 100 overtly aggressive people than 1 passive aggressive one."
