Host communicated very well, until arrival. Hot tub was broken and we got a voicemail that the hot tub broke the morning of our stay. Tried to reach back out but phone would ring and no answer. They would respond to texts after no luck calling. I was surprised when we got there, the remaining water in the tub was a solid block of ice like it had been that way for awhile, since they communicated it broke that morning. The host has multiple properties and friends staying at another property had appliances that broke the morning of their stay as well. The host provided a discount for the hot tub cleaning fee, but no other consideration for missing a key feature to a ski weekend. Outside of the hot tub not working, this was a great spot. Garage is big enough to fit a large SUV with ski rack. Ski in Ski out with a small walk up to the cat track from the house. Deck furniture was buried in snow so there is no outdoor seating in the winter. Deck was cleared for walking.

We stayed at this beautiful home week before Christmas 2023. We have always stayed in this area (moonlight basin area) and chose this place bc it was ski in ski out and a large house vs a condo. At no fault of the property the weather didn’t cooperate and there was no snow while there and nobody had a ski in ski out property :( so that was a big bummer but we enjoyed hiking and we drove to the base and parked to ski. The house was spacious and we used the kitchen a lot to cook meals! The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms all very nice. We used the garage to park our ford expedition in and never really used the front door. They had a lot of games to play and even had a poker set which we fully enjoyed! They also had the game Code Names which we enjoyed as well. The hot tub was nice too! We enjoyed staying here and wish we could have skied more especially right out the back door - Alpine Meadows run is the run that goes behind / side of house down to six shooter. Next time!

Comfortable stay for 7 adults. Easy access to summer big sky activities

We had a summer family reunion at this house with 5 kids and 4 adults. The house was comfortable and generally great. Its probably more comfortable than the pictures make it look. There’s a bathroom in each bedroom which makes having a big group much easier and the house is very sound proof. The view is great and we liked being able to walk up and over the bridge for a short hike. Natural Retreats was incredibly responsive and we felt both taken care of but left alone. The late check in and early check out times were a bit surprising but the short checkout list (don’t forget your stuff and turn off the lights) made it understandable. The only cons for us were that some of the appliances could use a tune up and it was hard to use the baby gate. Our toddler took a spill down the stairs so it was essential to have a gate up. The space between the wall and stair post aren’t square so we had to pad one side of the gate to get it to stay in place and that was enough of a deterrent for him though not the most stable.
