Hello. I am Vanessa, the owner of Villa Michaela in Vorno, Tuscany, Italy. My family has proudly owned and restored Villa Michaela over the past 40 years. Villa Michaela dates back to the 15th century and has always been an important part of Vorno history. In the 1800's the Lucchese architect Nottolini and his family purchased the Villa. This is when the famous architect remodeled the chapel, giving it the beautiful look it has today. The estate also includes other buildings such as the Limonaia, the building where the lemon trees were traditionally stored each winter. Now it serves as a beautifully decorated full service kitchen often utilized for cooking courses and the breakfast room for our guests. We have a grand pool, with plenty of lounge space as well as two outdoor dining spaces, under the grapevine covered pergolas or stunning hundreds year old trees. Outdoors we have a lemon garden where our guests can lounge, eat al fresco lunches, and listen to the subtle sounds of our fountain amongst the lemon trees. Another vine covered dining area is just outside the pool's stone walls with amazing views of the Tuscan hills and mountains. In this area there is also a gathering space with a fire pit. Beyond this area the villa offers a tennis court beautifully positioned next to our ancient olive trees. We also have a shop where you can buy our wines, cookbooks, local products, or serve yourself from our honesty bar. We also offer massage, yoga, pilates, cooking classes and other special services. You can contact us to schedule these for your stay. In my 40 years of owning Villa Michaela I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over the world including ex-first ladies, famous movie stars, and world famous writers. All of our guests bring something special to the Villa whether they are famous or not, and we look forward to welcoming each one of you.
