This modern Ryokan was a perfect place to stay in Nakatsugawa. Very convenient being 2 mins walk from the train station, and the start of the nakesando trail. The ryokan is spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The tatami bedrooms are simple and comfortable. The social are in the lobby is a great place to chat, have a drink, have breakfast and plan your nakesando walk.

Very friendly and great English. Lots of information on the local area and super helpful when we had any questions. The place was clean and just as described. We really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to check out the Nakasendo, especially if you’re not super confident in your Japanese.

Very clean, good heating system, very comfortable bed on the floor, great shower, helpful staff and a first free drink at the bar for a friendly place to chat to other clients. Just a bit tricky if you're old and need a chair in your room to put your socks on!
