Laverstoke · 整套客房 · 1室1床1.5卫 · 可住4人 · The Chapel-Superb Hampshire Stay
Called "The Shed" by us "The Chapel" by our friends, its a self contained single storey building with a loft bedroom. Constructed using traditional materials to high standards, it's entirely self contained and independent of our house (30 metres away) Laverstoke is small friendly village in a beautiful part of North Hampshire. The Chapel backs onto open fields, River Test is a short walk away. Winchester 25 minutes by car. Nearest train station 3 miles, bus 300 yards, pub is half a mile The building is approx 9 metres long by 4 metres wide, the main space is open with the bathroom providing a break between the kitchen area and lounge/dining area and with entrance doors at both ends. The double bed in the roof space is accessed by a folding stair/ladder. Adults cannot stand up there and it is intended for sleeping only ( kids love it!) One end of this space is used for storage of bedding etc and not suitable for use. The sofabed downstairs provides an alternative double bed and two guests can use either (or both!) Parties of up to four can be accomodated but need more planning.
Steve and Di made our visit an exceptional experience. So much so that we stayed an extra night. From the delicious cake freshly baked by Di, to the helpfulness of Steve in showing us everything and making sure we felt at home, everything was perfect. We spent an afternoon at the Bombay Sapphire Gin Factory, which is literally at the end of the road (200mt) so this place is perfectly situated. Just a great experience.
Everything about our stay was amazing. The perfect hosts. Everything we needed and more was supplied for us and the home made cake was delicious. Would love to stay again.
Had a lovely stay with Steve and Diane. We were greeted by Steve on arrival who helped us carry our bags into the lovely Chapel where there was everything we needed in terms of kitchen and bathroom supplies including a lovely home-made cake, wine, cheese, bacon, fresh eggs, sourdough and some yoghurt. Once we parked up we didnt have to use our cars again as both Overton and Whitchurch were a lovely 1hr walk from the Chapel, and Bombay Sapphire was about 5mins away! The only very minor downside was that the Chapel itself was a complete mobile signal dead zone which wasn't a problem for us mostly but would be a challenge for anyone wanting to work online during their stay. The setting was wonderful, chickens roaming, both Steve and Diane were super approachable and helpful!
this was a great stay for me and my family. Steve was great at communicating and left us lots of extra which was really appreciated:) great place and great hosts

Parking is on the road outside the house - there is an additional large are of off road parking opposite our house. There are regular bus services to Baskingstoke and Winchester with a stop 250 yards away. The A303 and the A34 are five miles away.
