Your will be able to enjoy lovely countryside walks along the beautiful test river just across the road from the house. You are also within walking distance of the town centre, which offers shops, pubs and cafes. Other activities include The Silk Mill, Bombay Sapphire gin distillery and local farm shops Bere Mill and Laverstoke Park. Further afield Winchester is a 20 minutes away bus ride away. Rose Cottage is an early victorian detached cottage. It is set in a little walled garden with a patio at the rear and a small lawn at the front. It is situated on one of the main roads of Whitchurch. It has many original features stained glass windows, fire places and large windows to let the light in however on colder night it can get a bit chilly and you might want to put a fire on, or pack an extra jumper.

The house was lovely and quirky with many character features. Fully equipped for all our needs. Sophie was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Great time had by us all and it served the full family really well for getting ready for a wedding in the local area. Thank you.

Had another lovely weekend here. This is the second time we’ve stayed and will definitely be back. The house is great and has everything you could need, pubs and shops in easy walking distance and dog friendly walks right from the door. Marvellous!

You are able to park on the street outside the house or Test road, there are buses available within 2 minute walk from the house to Winchester, Basingstoke and Andover. Whitchurch train station is also a 15 minute walk from the house.
