an idyllic cottage set in stunning countryside. the house was lovely, everything we needed for our stay was right there. The hosts we extremely quick to respond to any queries, but the best part for us was the surrounding woodland which my children spent hours exploring. the village was walkable and there was so mich to see close by.
What a wonderful stay at a unique and beautiful location. We loved the cottage, found it very comfortable, warm and characterful, and it was a lovely base to do local walks (loved the old railway line), as well as slightly further afield trips like the new forest and Stonehenge. A truly lovely time and extremely welcoming hosts. Thanks so much!
We've stayed in this beautiful historic thatched cottage a few times while working in the area. It's been a home from home, it's always clean and well-equipped and with plenty of logs for the fire.
Fantastic stay in a lovely cottage, we had a mini early Xmas with family and friends, they all loved the cottage and location. Went on a few walks in the local area. The local people in the village were very friendly and the local pub was great for food and drinks.

Grainne and Philip love welcoming people to visit their special thatched cottage opposite the Test river in Wherwell village. The cottage is built into a chalk hill with woodland behind and to the side with many wild flowers, bees and birds. They also welcome people to their home in Wimbledon during the tennis championships. Grainne is a Reiki Master teaching Reiki classes and offering treatments. Philip is an accountant and gifted woodworker.
