This was our second time visiting Tessa and Simon’s place - we were keen to return as our first trip away with our baby after we’d had a great stay previously and we were very pleased we did. The lodge was exactly as we remembered, incredibly comfortable (my partner says the bed is more comfortable than ours at home!), very clean and with helpful amenities. Tessa and Simon were also both incredibly kind and helpful when we had car issues on our way there, they really went above what would be expected for hosts, and we are extremely grateful, thank-you!

We love fisherman’s lodge , the location is simple beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing . This was our third trip, usually we stay in egret lodge , but this time we had the pleasure of staying in heron lodge . Both are beautifully appointed , spotlessly clean and have bags of character too ! I can’t fault any of our trips to fisherman’s lodge! Fantastic location , wonderful accommodation and lovely thoughtful hosts ! Love it

We had the perfect airbnb experience at Heron lodge. We were met by Tessa’s husband who gave us the warmest of welcomes. Heron lodge was perfect!!! Beautiful, quite location on the river Test. We particularly enjoyed siting on the bench by the riverside whilst watching the swans feeding and the kingfishers swooping to catch fish. Tessa has thought of everything in terms of equipment and the choice of furniture and soft furnishings are clearly those of someone with an eye for detail. Thank you Tessa, Emily and I will definitely be back again.

We had a wonderful last minute getaway to the Fisherman’s Lodge, we wanted to explore chalk streams and the test valley and Tessa was the perfect host. Really lovely accommodation and surrounding villages, would certainly return.
