My favorite AirBnb in Merida! Do not miss the opportunity to stay in this lovely place during your visit to Merida. The house is lovely with such charm & warmth. Beautiful designs! Bed is so comfortable & quiet. But the best part of this house is the owner/host, Gabo. He is such a lovely & warm person full of local recommendations. We had coffee one day at a local cafe where he is friends with the owners. Such a treat & an amazingly kind & interesting person he is. He's also an incredibly talented architect, designer & artist. He's so talented. If you get a chance to see his work - you will be in awe of his creativity & talents. I inquired about his work & where I could find some of the clothes & pieces he was designing & creating. I went to a beautiful atelier / boutique. Words cannot describe how amazing the place was; the architecture, design, clothes, textiles he is designing & painting. It was other wordly, like stepping into a different era & space. I LOVED staying at Gabo's!

Gabo is an exceptional person! I had a personal problem during my stay and he provided his personal computer and phone to resolve my issue. I am so grateful for his authenticity and how kind he was to me. His little house is fantastic with many touches that give it a bohemian air very typical of Merida. Definitely and without a doubt it is a place that I highly recommend. Thank you very much Gabo for being great!

Gabo and Henrique provided an incredible residence, prompt responses to our questions, and great advice for how to enjoy the area. Like many others have said, this place is far better than the photos do it justice. If this airbnb is available you should absolutely take it. Only warning would be for troubled sleepers as the bedroom has some light come in, but I believe most places you will look at will have this problem worse than Gabo’s place does. The bed itself is incredibly comfortable.

El lugar luce más pequeño en fotos de lo que realmente es, es de doble altura por lo que da sensación de libertad, está decorado muy lindo, el baño es muy lindo y el cuarto bastante amplio y acogedor, la cama y almohadas son muy cómodas, está ubicado en una casona en el centro de la ciudad, puedes caminar 10 minutos y estarás en el corazón del centro de Mérida, pasamos muy buenos días en este lugar.

Gabo's home is authentic & lovely. It's conveniently located near everything: center, cafes, restaurants, super market, museums & parks. Gabo is a very kind, gracious & generous host. He's also a talented artist who works with textiles. I was fortunate enough to get to see his work - so beautiful. Wow! The pink casita is on a busy street, but so are almost all houses in Merida (IMHO it's not "busy" by big city standards). The bedroom is in the back of the casita so you don't hear anything. I highly recommend & already plan to return. Thanks Gabo!
