What an amazing place. We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back. Firstly, the garden is huge and was perfect for our 7 year old son and cocker spaniel. Both bedrooms are great, with the upstairs bedroom having a free standing bath close by. The living room was cosy (log burner was easy to use) and the kitchen had everything you need. Ruberslaw is close by and is a great walk (even suitable for children). I would highly recommend staying here, and there is definitely a ‘The Holiday Cottage’ vibe to the place 😊

We had a fantastic few days at Lois’s place. The cottage is lovely and right in the centre of the village. The village itself is fantastic. Everything you need right on the doorstep and very friendly locals. We enjoyed great food at the cross keys and live jam sessions at the fox and hounds. Both pubs were dog friendly too. We enjoyed great walks from the doorstep - using the AllTrails app - Rubers Law was well worth the effort on a beautiful morning! All in all Denholme is a fantastic village and the cottage is perfect. I have no doubt we will be back.

A definite vibe of Robert Burns cottage in Alloway when you pull up outside. Absolutely stunning thatched cottage. Full of charm & character inside & out. Really well fitted out with everything you need for a great break away. Cooper, our pooch, had an absolute ball exploring the huge rear garden! The cottage is located in a village which has all the facilities you need. 2 pubs, an Italian restaurant, a coffee shop, a butchers, a post office, a village store and even a small petrol station. Very self sufficient! We had a takeaway meal from The Auld Keys Inn across the green on our second night. Weather was even good enough to let us sit out for a couple of drinks. Food was excellent & well worth a try. My son was also delighted to find out that Dominoes delivered to the area!🙄😂 Visited Kelso, melrose & Jedburgh during our stay. All worth a visit, especially Kelso. We will definitely return, if Lois will have us back, & we can’t recommend the cottage highly enough. You’ll love it!❤️

What a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location...perfect setting for my wife's 50th birthday with our two best friends. We will definitely be back! 😊
