Lovely comfortable and clean cottage. Great views over the farm and animals and very quiet and peaceful. Modern bathrooms, plenty of hot water and good heating in the cottage. Hosts very friendly. Good location for Chester, several National Trust properties and gardens.

Beautiful house in lovely surroundings, they were in the midst of lambing and it was incredible to see lambs as little as an hour old! Farmers and host were always friendly and helpful, answering all questions no matter how ridiculous. Thank you again for a great stay!

Charming property on a genuine and salt picturesque working farm. The setting is very rural so you really do feel away from it all here. The house itself is very atmospheric with good views and a well-equipped kitchen. Being an old house, there are some quirks such as a lack of a bathroom facility outside the bedrooms, and the bathrooms are also not the most modern. I would 100% recommend this property for a family visit – our 11-year-old daughter loved the animals and loved the play area as well which was beautifully maintained.

We had the most amazing stay here - thank you, Sally-Ann! Perfect location, lovely accommodation with the extra treat of fresh milk, and lemon cake to welcome us. Communication was great through text messages. The surroundings are simply beautiful and the house was spotlessly clean with a wonderful homely feel. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.
