We enjoyed our stay. There were some pros and cons. Pros: excellent wi-fi, great view of lake, good heater for cool nights, comfortable bed, and terrific kayaks with easy launching. And Belfast is nearby with good restaurants and bookstores. Cons: bed sheets were worn, towels were provided with a bit of a delay, and the camp could stand a good cleaning - hopefully that will be done before the next season. We loved hearing the loons on the lake, and we saw the loons and with ducks and a bald eagle!

Loon’s Cabin is the perfect getaway as it offers lots to do as well as seclusion and relaxation. The cabin itself is rustic, but cozy and well supplied - everything I needed to cook and make coffee was there. While the dock and beach in the pictures are actually in front of the hosts’ home (which is right next door), they were very welcoming and encouraging as to my use of that space. The cabin itself does have waterfront access, and with a little maneuvering I was able to launch my kayak from there. I spent a lot of time sitting in the chairs on the bank of the lake reading and listening to the water and the loons. The town of Belfast is just 15 minutes away and has lots of great restaurants and things to do. Getting to Bangor and Mt Desert Island/Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor was also easy and doable. Gregg was communicative and responsive. Had a great week, looking forward to returning one day.

Had a wonderful time at the cabin with our two kids. We went in the summer, it was a rainy week but we still had lots to do. The lake view is beautiful, I am sure it is a lovely place for swimming and kayaking if the weather permits it. It is a cozy cabin, made out of wood, we used the fireplace each night and felt on vacation, which is what we needed. The family who owns the place is very friendly and welcoming. My husband and kids even got to learn how to cut some wood. All in all we had a week we won’t forget. Thankyou so much Becky!!!

Loved the location on the water, kayaks and close to other areas to explore. Hosts were friendly and helpful when needed.

Beautiful cabin and property. We loved exploring the shore with our pup and listening to the loons and other birds. Furniture is comfortable, and the cabin stayed nice and warm during the cold nights. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, plates and glasses. Star gazing is breathtaking. We really enjoyed our stay!
