John & Mandy were excellent hosts - - very warm & welcoming! This is probably the best B&B that we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I LOVED sitting in the window turret area and simply watching the ocean and listening to the coos (cows!). The simple detailing in our room including warming mattress pad, biscuits, tea, large bathroom area, comfortable bedding made for a great experience. There was a lot of thought put into the detailing of our room. The breakfasts in the morning were outstanding and included a variety of cereals, fruit, juices, tea/coffee, eggs (however you want them), meat, and very favour full mushrooms and tomatoes with rosemary. And we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Mandy. This is a MUST visit place to be while in Machrihanish, Scotland. Good for the soul!

This was my fifth time visiting Machrihanish to play golf, but my first time staying with John and Maudy. I arrived later than expected (10:00 PM) and was met with a warm welcome, a great and unexpected late-night dinner, and a glass of my new favorite Scotch, Glen Scotia Double Cask from Campbelltown. My room had excellent views of the golf course; the bed was comfortable - in short, my room and my stay could not have been better, and I will be staying with John when I return to Machrihanish. John and Maudy were interesting conversationalists, having traveled the World. If you plan to visit Machrihanish, I am hard-pressed to imagine you could stay someplace as lovely.

I had a great stay. The room is lovely with lots of small practical details and just the most amazing views, I felt like I was in my own little lighthouse! Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
