This was such a cool place! Getting to stay right on the river was beautiful. The bathroom and outdoor shower was clean and nice. The common area has two porch swings and couches under the covered area. Would be beautiful rain or shine. Short drive to the ferry with plenty of food and drink options across the river. I highly recommend! Bring a tent or rent one of the campers on the property. I’ll definitely go back.
We had a great stay. We were looking for a place to camp and then access the Katy Trail early before the summer heat. It worked out perfectly. It is only 5 miles to the Black Walnut trailhead on the Katy Trail. So, we were able to get a great start and beat the heat. We were tent camping. There were plenty of options for setting up tents. The grass is kept trimmed. The view of the Mississippi was spectacular. Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch the sunset. And after that, the evening breeze kept all the insects away. We had a comfortable breeze all through the night and it really made it nice to sleep outdoors. We really enjoyed using the back porch with the bar. And there is a refrigerator under the bar to keep breakfast items fresh. The furniture was great for relaxing and having fun conversations. In the future, when we go to do another ride on the Katy Trail, we will definitely start here again.
This was my second time staying here but my first time staying for two nights in a row. It was AWESOME!! Gorgeous location not far from cool places like St Louis and Grafton. Matt and Debbi are amazing and so fun. This is a MUST-STAY for me when I’m in this part of Missouri! Stay here - you won’t regret it!
Debi and Matt were flexible and great about communicating. The view was lovely and the space was quiet and peaceful. We hope to return and stay in a Vanny Van!
Really cool space with a few old VW pop up camper vans, a couple of Shasta campers, canoes, kayaks, FEET away from the beautiful Mississippi! Hosts even have a bar area set up and multiple spaces for multiple bonfires. Highly recommend for anyone looking to rough it for a weekend.

A little about us: Matt and I have been hosting on Airbnb for 7 years now. It all started with just 2 VW vans parked on the banks of the Mississippi River. Today, that has transformed to a campground offering rare and unique overnight accomodations located on the beautiful Mississippi River (back in full swing spring 2023 after property and camper renovations!) and once upon a time, our home in the heart of St. Louis City. We are lively and fun spirits and love sharing our serene oasis with others. We try to go above and beyond to make sure everyone who books our listings love and appreciate them as much as we do. We love the outdoors, traveling, and are avid boaters. We celebrate all lifestyles and welcome all kinds of people. Our motto is: always believe that something wonderful is about to happen! Our expectations of guests: We are sharing our personal property (cabin, campers, boats, vans) that we've worked very hard to obtain and maintain. Please treat them with the utmost, greatest of care. Unlike many hosts, we don't charge a cleaning fee, and that is because we expect YOU to clean up and be responsible after yourselves. Help us help you, keep your costs down. * Non-seasoned-maybe it's your first time using Airbnb guests: We are not a chain hotel so please do not treat our places as such. Tidyness and cleanliness is a must. Respecting areas that are exclusive to the hosts is a must. If you have to ask yourself, it's probably best not to. Please be mindful of our expectations.
