It can be tough to find places along the Oregon coast that have great views/location and also allow dogs- this view was superb and it was so nice that the dogs were safe and welcome here. Private staircase down to the beach was wonderful too! If you love to cook, might want to bring your own gadgets, that’s not the focus of this place. Come here if you have dogs, want great views, beach access and good separation of space.

Background - we stayed the weekend of the snow/ice storm, so hard to judge some things fairly Pros: Oceanfront, beautiful view Responsive hosts (without that, this would be a one star review) Cons: Do NOT recommend a winter stay. Might be great in summer, though house appears to have been a rental for 20+ years without a lot of repair of issues (very beat up, peeling pain, mold/mildew). Missing a lot of basic supplies (salt shaker, dishes, silverware, linens, etc.) - but they did bring when requested. Wet carpets on arrival, and because it was wet and cold, the carpets didn't dry, despite running the heat on high and fans all weekend. Rain puddled in the utility room. Smelled like dogs. Couldn't get some rooms warm with high heat - so cold and wet, left early. Mitigating factors: Responsive - REALLY appreciated their willingness to let us move the weekend d/t illness (with additional fee) and refund final night when we went home because it was cold and wet all weekend.

I had to message the host shortly after finally getting in the house. We kept trying the lock box to get the key so we could get inside. There was no lighting by the front door so we didnt see the second lock box until we got flash lights. I contacted the host right away asking them to replace the bulbs so we could see at night, the problem was never fixed. It doesnt take long to find out that all of the outdoor lighting was an issue. I made contact again and nothing was done. Now let's go inside. I have never seen so many wonky electrical outlets in my like. My son is a student electrician, and he couldnt believe it passed inspection. Let's move on to light switches. It was definitely a headache trying to figure out which goes to what or just trying to find the right one. Games, I believe there was 5 games. 2 Monopoly 2 Sorry and 1 we weren't familiar with. Puzzles were from the early 1900's. TV, hard to figure out. If there is cable it didnt work, a lot more to say but, out of room
