I totally loved staying at Rosa’s place. I was familiar with the village as a family friend had a house there for many years and I visited most years. After the house was sold, I was delighted to find a property in the same village on air BnB. It’s been renovated beautifully and it’s a pleasure to stay in. Rosa is friendly and gave clear instructions. We sat down in the sun on the first evening with the pastries and beer provided by Rosa - bliss! The garden is huge and has a perfect view of the mountains. If you want to get away from it all then this is the place to stay. You’re not far from Mirepoix where you can find a medieval town with lots of restaurants and they have a regular market. In the village itself you can go for lots of local walks but you do have to travel for bars, shops, restaurants etc. Totally recommended. Oh and the air con is very welcome too.

We enjoyed our stay at Troye d'Ariege and were lucky to have two weeks of fine weather. The house was comfortable, spacious, well fitted out and very clean. We particularly appreciated the mosquito screens on the windows and being able to leave the windows open made the house feel very cool even when it was warm outside. As forewarned the wifi was intermittent. The garden was enjoyable with lots of fruit trees and we enjoyed the last of the figs. You have to you down to the end to get the view of the Pyrenees. We could eat out at certain times of the day but often couldn't linger without getting bitten. There are no restaurants or shops in the immediate vicinity but we ate well in Mirepoix and Leran and liked the epicerie with local produce and the next dooor Boulangerie Fermino in Aigues-Vives, a five minute drive away on the main road. There is plenty to do in the area including the Monday market in Mirepoix, Montsegur and the Grotte de Niaux - all with good restaurants nearby.

La maison fidèle au descriptif , sa localisation et le voisinage paisible . Un pied à terre bien situé pour découvrir et profiter de la région (Mirepoix Camon lac de Montbel : 15mn en voiture ) De plus l'ajout de la climatisation nous a été d'un grand secours vu les températures caniculaires durant notre semaine (36 à 42° l'après midi ) Une bonne adresse en Ariège pour se reposer et visiter. Le logement est très agréable, fonctionnel, au calme avec une jolie vue du jardin. Nombreuses activités aux alentours. Rosa est très réactive
