Stayed here over Christmas whilst visiting family. Postcode and instructions took you to the address - however word of warning when we visited the road to it had took a beating and potholes were huge, but not the hosts fault. The area was peaceful and so quiet! Host has 3 dogs, chickens, 5 peacocks - lots of other wildlife to see and listen to on their land. Host was amazing and went out of their way to decorate to make it feel Christmassy and even put a few extra things in some stockings for us. Breakfast is included in the price and was delicious with fresh produce and good portion sizes. Included in the cabin is a cool box, kettle, and Tassimo coffee machine. Host provided sugar, milk, and ground coffee as well as pods. There was a log burner and all items needed to get this going as well as an electric heater so we rarely got cold. Bed was comfy with feather duvet and pillows.

We were moved from the studio to the annex as there was more room and private garden, having 3 dogs. Weather was awful - torrential rain so they put sandbags out to prevent rain flooding us. Lovely people - very friendly and helpful. Left us food in fridge for breakfast and plenty of wood etc for log burning stove. Checked to make sure we were ok and said they would move us if flooded. Such a shame weather was so bad as lovely place with beautiful gardens etc which we couldn’t really appreciate due to weather.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fernhill meadows. Sue was amazingly helpful and breakfast each morning was fantastic. The garden studio was clean, comfortable and warm and we had everything we needed. Location was lovely and peaceful, enjoyed having the birds to watch in the garden. The only drawback for us was lack of kitchen, but for a short stay the kettle and BBQ was enough, especially with breakfast each day! lovely calm atmosphere and great value - we would definitely return!

Honestly we did not want to leave this place !! Our 3 night stay in the garden studio was all we had hoped for and more. We were welcomed on arrival by sue and made to feel very much at ease. There was a welcome package of delicious fresh produce for us, a basket of doggy things for our boy, a great selection of teas, coffee, bbq ready.. everything we needed was catered for, any requests we had, met warmly. The studio itself is charming and full of character, and also very importantly, comfortable. Amazing breakfasts delivered each morning!.. We were incredibly well looked after. Our little dog could not have been happier living right next to the chicken coop! .. He explored and paddled in the little stream, was mostly nice to the beautiful peacocks, made friends with daisy and the boys 🐾 What has been created here is something quite wonderful, and it’s clear the folk who have made this happen really love what they do. Thank you sue, sarah and gang you were the best hosts !!
