The Nest was my final stop on the way home from a week-long emotional road trip to visit my Mom and Grandparents, across the country. Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted by two loving dogs, a sweet cat, and kind Deb. She guided me to where I'd be staying and gave me a quick tour. The space was well decorated and every single detail was beautifully thought out. The grapefruit in the fridge, along with the other wonderful food/beverage adds were absolutely appreciated and a huge show of kindness. I felt incredibly welcomed and well taken care of, as if I were family coming for a visit. The mountain air, breathtaking views, and serenity of their home was something the soul longs for. My soul needed it, even if it was just for one night. Thank you for opening your home to share with myself and others. I will most certainly be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nest. Jim & Deb a sweet couple & were very kind. From the cleanliness of the room to the breakfast, to the amazing view everything was perfect. We loved the beautiful gardens, the hike down to the creek with their sweet Sophie, the loves from their other fur baby Bosco & the view & sounds of the birds & squirrels. It was a peaceful & relaxing anniversary trip for my husband & I. A wonderful place to get away from home & all of life’s distractions. We can’t thank Jim & Deb enough. We will be back in the future for sure. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to disappear to. 😊

Jim and Deb's place was honestly one of the best Airbnbs my boyfriend and I have stayed in, and we have stayed in quite a few. From the moment you enter their private wooded and gravel driveway, you can feel the warm and welcoming energy of their home. Deb, along with their adorable two dogs and cat, met us outside upon our arrival and was a delight to talk to throughout our stay. She made sure we were settled in and gave us great details about their beautiful property and surrounding areas. We unfortunately did not get to meet Jim, but we have no doubts he's probably just as cool as Deb. Not only is the room cozy but it is tastefully decorated with vintage antique/vintage furniture with eclectic art throughout the room. Not to mention they go out of their way to offer local and homemade baked goods and snacks during any guests' stay. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer.

The Nest at Sewanee is one of our favorite stays! Jim and Deb live on a really special property, and they're generous to share it with guests. The Airbnb is attached to their home and includes private access to a porch and firepit area overlooking the valley below. The views are stunning. The stay itself is full of personal touches, including a mini-fridge stocked daily with breakfast and a guidebook to the property and surrounding area. This isn't your typical Ikea-furnitured Airbnb business. This is a thoughtfully and artfully cared for place with warm and friendly innkeepers.

What a wonderful and peaceful place to get away. We had a great time at their place. They have plenty to read, play or watch. The breakfast they provided was delicious! The covered porch is the cherry on top. Jim and Deb are so friendly and so are all the furry friends that will greet you as you come and go. Can’t wait to visit again !
