Our stay in the Namar Yurt in Ballandean was delightful. Cool nights in March were a blessing after Brisbane heat. It was a great base from which to explore the nearby Girraween National Park with it's huge granite boulders, visit local attractions including the Cheese Factories, local outlets selling farm fresh fruit & vegies and to meet some interesting people very proud of their area & heritage. Note that quite a few vineyards are only open on weekends or long weekends (Friday - Monday) but we did get to a few to taste some wonderful & different wines. We highly recommend a visit to this fascinating region and will be back.
the Yurt was an excellent base for exploring the Girraween National Park. We enjoyed the comfort and the outside area. We would definitely return if possible.
Really liked the place and had character and was different and the grounds were well laid out and cared for. Will be back!
