And all the area has to offer. It's not fancy, just very comfortable and accommodating. Our "river house" is designed for guests to explore and experience nature, see wildlife, and traverse the river.
Beautiful location right on the river. We kayaked to the seven sister springs and the crack which weren’t too far away. The Airbnb was good. Had a good kitchen just be aware there is no dishwasher. It had plenty of utensils and pots/pans to utilize. The Airbnb was pretty spacious and had plenty of room for our group. They have a screened in back patio and a grill. However, only half of the grill would turn on. Would recommend if you’re looking for a weekend getaway kayaking on the Chaz. Would stay again!
Our fourth year staying and is always a great time. Never can get enough of being able to put the kayaks right into the water from the backyard and paddling to the springs where you can relax, swim and see the manatees. Do it all again next year.
Our family loves visiting the Chaz and staying at Susan’s home was absolutely lovely! We had a great trip and can’t wait to come back!
We loved staying here! The house was comfortable for our family of four. The locatiin was great. We used the kayaks daily and explored "the crack" and seven sisters. There were lots of manatees on the way to Baird Creek. Home had everything we needed, kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely stay here again! Susan was sweet and very helpful about locations of things on the river.
Very quiet neighborhood and very country like setting. Full of nature. See manatees, otters, lots of birds out on the river. Yet you can access all the stores and restaurants off Commercial Way/US Hwy 19 just down the street. Homosassa and Crystal River are North on US Hwy 19 and Weeki Wachee/Spring Hill are South on US Hwy 19. See my guest reviews to see how they enjoyed the house and the area.

I love the Weeki Wachee and the Chassahowitzka Rivers. While a city girl born and raised in Detroit, something about the River attracts me to it. It is so clear, quiet, peaceful and serene, I find it mesmerizing. I love to canoe on it and greet other people in kayaks and canoes and ask if they saw a manatee and if so, how far up or down the river. St. Petersburg is the first area I stayed in as a young girl with my family visiting my Grandparents home on St Pete Beach/Pass-A-Grille. Loved that area then and know all the streets and back roads of Pass-A-Grille. The pier downtown St Petersburg and the Sundial shops/restaurants, bars, and movies are a great place to go and explore. Walk the beach, walk downtown visit some local bars/restaurants/museums. Great fun for the whole family.
