Having family up in Brethren area for years my family always wanted a "cabin in the woods". Maria's place is a perfect place to get away any time of year.

Such a great stay! The cabin is clean, comfortable, well-equipped and full of welcoming and warm touches. We stayed for a mid-winter getaway in the woods, spending the days hiking and the evenings cozied up watching movies. The area is great if you are a lover of nature and the outdoors, and the cabin is perfect for a pet-friendly home base. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay (great kitchen for cooking, comfy bedrooms, peaceful setting even with a couple of neighboring homes in sight, and great furniture for relaxing by the beautiful fireplace). The only challenge was finding firewood in the area (which is probably easier when it’s not winter) other than the EZ Mart’s gas station bundles that never burn, lol, but we managed to collect some smaller pieces in the woods. Highly recommend this place!

This was our second stay at this airbnb which is saying a lot because we often like exploring new options. Reasons for choosing to come back include the peaceful and private surrounding, close proximity to Big M to cross-country ski, comfortable furniture including beds, well stocked kitchen, and windows that allowed us to take in the beauty of nature. The snow was beautiful this past weekend.

It was the perfect spot. So warm and cozy from the moment you walked through the door. Everything we were hoping it would be and more. Our 3 dogs had plenty of space and privacy to run around. The beds were so comfortable. Wood burning fireplace was so great. Enjoyed every minute.
