Such an interesting and unique place to stay. I loved that the greenhouse is also part of the house. it was so beautiful to be surrounded by plants even indoors. The house is so unique. We kept finding neat little details all weekend and there were many nice touches left by the hostthat made the place homey. Great place to stay and relax. Also just a short drive to Taos and all the area attractions.

It was an absolute joy to spend a couple nights at the amazing Phoenix earthship!The love and care that went into building it shows in all the magical little details, and the thrilling experience of waking up surrounded by the beauty of nature makes you realize how disconnected from the earth we’ve become. I loved waking up and walking into the lush greenhouse surrounded by plants and flowers, listening to the sweet parakeet sing and watching the koi and turtle swim around in the pond… we even had a brief visit from a cute little garter snake one morning… What a beautiful and inspiring way to live! We loved learning more about the technical aspects of building an earthship from the visitor center, and reading about the great adventure of constructing the first ones… We are inspired to try to incorporate some of these principles into our future dream home! Thank you so much for sharing this incredible place!! An absolutely transformative and unforgettable experience…

How do you even do a review on something like this? It isn’t just your regular stay at a airbnb, this is an experience that will leave you changed! We had watched something about earthships many years ago but little did we this was hosted by the man who pretty much invented the concept. We loved every second of being here and hope to now one day own an earthship of our own one day. Mike’s philosophy and art are echoed throughout the house. This experience has been a mystical one! Highly recommend!!!

Great, unusual and unique experience staying in the Earthship, indoor gardens, fish and turtles, dark night skies, plentiful hot water, comfortable, spacious, and more. Extremely responsive host with great service continuing after our stay: mailing back an item we mistakenly left behind.
