Great place to stay. Very close to the Metro, so it was easy to walk and get around the city. The hosts seem to have thought through everything you’ll need while traveling: from umbrellas to KCups. This is well worth the price and a very enjoyable stay.
Het appartement van Alice is dichtbij het metrostation, dus centrum van Washington is snel bereikbaar. Het is voorzien van alles wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben. Alice's place was in a perfect location right across from a Metro stop. Neighborhood restaurants were nearby. Alice's place had everything we needed and more. Alice communicated very well and was always responsive if we had questions or needs. Her place worked well for us.
The location was great for us. Being right across from the subway made getting to the National Mall extremely easy. We got there early and having the locker to store our luggage was very convenient along with having the Roost and Safeway very close for food and snacks. We definitely would stay again.

I am a Hebrew Bible scholar who teaches most of my courses online, so I am able to work from home much of the time. I am also a competitive (senior) swimmer, on DC's senior swim team. My husband, Jeff Nicoll, a theoretical physicist, and I have children, siblings, and a pile of grandchildren up and down the East coast. I have lived on Capitol Hill in a number of different houses for many years and love the small urban village character of the place. I like to work in my garden and on my early twentieth-century row house. I've traveled to China, South Korea, various countries in Europe, and most recently to Ethiopia. I want to see Egypt and India. Last Christmas, my family had our first Airbnb experience and it was wonderful. Now we decided to become hosts and since our long time tenant bought her own condo, we turned our English basement apartment into an Airbnb unit. We are providing a hospitable place for guests to be able to access the city comfortably and efficiently, whether as tourists or for business purposes. The apartment is furnished very nicely with handsome, but comfortable furniture and interesting artwork. We hope that you will come and stay awhile.
