Take a quick 5 minute drive to the NorthShore district for more shopping and restaurants or head 5 minutes in the opposite directions to visit the historic St. Elmo district- home to the famous Incline Railway. Save room for Clumpies Ice Cream when you make it back to the bottom! In town for our music scene? All major downtown venues are within a 5 minute ride.
The neighborhood park, Jefferson Heights Park, is located one street behind the house and offers a great play ground for kids, a sand volleyball court, and winding sidewalks for walking your furry friends. We are conveniently located within a 10-minute drive from multiple hiking trails.

Downtown Chattanooga is very pedestrian friendly, and South House is located steps from the bustling area of Southside. We know you're on vacation, but we highly recommend walking to take advantage of getting to experience as much as our great neighborhood has to offer! The house is a five-minute walk (or less!) from many restaurants, breakfast spots, coffee shops, bars, shopping, and entertainment.
Uber and Lyft are available and almost always easily accessible. Paid parking is available throughout the city should you choose to drive your own vehicle.
Bicycle rental stations are available throughout the city. The closest and most convenient rental station to the South House can be found at the corner of Rossville Avenue and Main Street, approximately 3 blocks away.
