Our time at the cabin in Sigiriya was just perfect. We felt truly cared for by two hosts who really know what it means to provide a service and honest hospitality. We stayed for three weeks and loved every moment with peacocks and birds and beautiful flowers and medicinal trees all around. We really felt one with nature. Peter was incredibly supportive and caring, letting us know all the potential challenges of living in the countryside... but honestly it was a perfect place for us digital nomads (in a town where there aren't too many isolated homes available to tourists). Sumith, the property manager was always just a call away and was even able to get us local breakfast during our stay!!! The actual space is simple but has everything you need to feel at home. Wifi was great, airflow was good and there's a swimming lake 5 Min walk. Honestly we can't wait to be back and would nominate Peter and Sumith as Superhosts if we could! Thank you to you both for such a great stay in Sigiriya.

Die Hütte bietet perfekte Privatspähre, die Lage ist etwas abgelegen, dafür sehr ruhig und es ist super dass msn ein Fahrrad zur Verfügung hat, damit ist man sehr flexibel. Vom Garten aus kann man viele Tiere beobachten. Kommunikation mit Peter war perfekt.

My time in Peter's hut was one of the best things I experienced at my time in Sri Lanka . The place is somewhere in nowhere between rice fields near a beautiful lake. You can watch there a lot of animals. It is so peaceful, just magic! Although the place is a little bit secluded the village sigiriya is reachable with bicycle (you can use bicycles for free) in a few minutes. Also the place is very safe (I am a female solo traveller and can highly recommend it to all the solo travellers out there) and you are not completely alone, Sumith who takes care for the land and everything lives in an own hut closely but far enough away that you have enough privacy. Peter, the host, was not there but we were in contact all the time and he is the best host I have ever experienced. He helped me with everything and his efforts were unbelievably. He is just amazing! When you search a magic place were you can connect with nature, calm down and relax, Peter's hut is the best choice in whole Sri Lank!

The stay in the cabin was definitely my favourite accommodation during my travels. The location is perfect. You are in the nature far away from the tourist/street noises, but still close enough to get to the restaurants & stores within a 30min pleasant strawl or by bicycle within 10min. the attractions are also easy to reach via bicycle etc. Having the lake just around the corner for swimming made my stay even better. The view from the bed is breathtaking and just what you need to relax. In the night you can watch the stars and the glowworms. Peter and his staff made everything to make this place my second home. They also made little breakfast and provided drinking wate. They always offered to get the things I need from town. The hospitality was amazing and you feel that this place is made with love for nature etc It is really a must stay. I think families as well as couple or solo travellers will just have a great experience her

After spending two weeks in Sri Lanka. I have to say that this has been by far my favorite place that I have stayed. If you want a peaceful and beautiful place to stay, this is it. The view from the cabin is stunning. You can literally see the Sigiriya rock from the bedroom. I was able to see so much wildlife by the lake that is 2min away. I ate great food in the local restaurants that are really close. And also, I stayed three nights working remotely from there, and even tho it wasn’t the best wifi, it was good enough for me to work peacefully and have all my zoom calls. Peter was also very responsive and making sure I had a great stay. He lended me a bike to go around the town and that made everything so much better!
