We really enjoyed our stay at Fortwilliam. The cottage was lovely and what we expected. The estate is situated beautifully. The children loved the animals, we went for walks to the river and through the surrounding woods. Very peaceful and relaxing stay.

We (four adults and two children aged ten and four) stayed at the Stables cottage for four nights. We had a lovely stay in this cute and cosy cottage on the beautiful Fortwilliam estate. Our hosts were very responsive and always helpful. The river level was too high to go fishing on this occasion but we had lovely walks alongside the river and through the grounds. Our ten year old really enjoyed being able to use the tennis court. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds and bed linen were very comfortable. The wood burning stove in the kitchen was lovely as the temperatures were chilly when we visited. The children loved seeing the animals on the estate, especially the two beautiful and friendly Labradors. The nearby by Lismore Castle gardens are well worth visiting. Overall a lovely spot for a peaceful break away.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Fort William. Accommodation was cosy & comfortable. Bedrooms generous, beds v comfortable & top quality bedlinen. Kitchen had everything we needed for our short stay. Lots to explore in Lismore & surrounding areas. We hope to visit again!

Our cottage was on a beautiful old estate. It is a Working Farm, so we saw lots of livestock and horses. There is a beautiful walk down to the river, which is just magnificent. The home itself has been updated. The beds are extremely comfortable. Had the best nights sleep in a week. Shiobhan met us at check-in, so she was able to answer all our questions.
