Die Rotse Host House & Self-catering is a Self-catering facility, located in a peaceful cul-de-sac on Beach Road, Kleinmond. This seafront property has two fully equipped 3-bedroom self-catering apartments called Spykerklip and Drievis as well as the main residence of your hosts, Werner and Lorraine Pauw Drievis is a ground level apartment with 3 spacious bedrooms; the main bedroom (King size bed – extra-long) has en-suite walk-in shower with toilet and wash basin and a single modern bathroom complete with an antique free standing bath and shower serves bedrooms 2&3. The main bedroom is sea facing and extends onto a patio overlooking the ocean. The second bedroom (2 x single beds) overlooks the garden and kiddies playground whilst the third bedroom (Double bed) allows easy access with a separate outside door leading onto the sunny stoop / patio area adjoining the barbeque area. The fully equipped modern open plan kitchen / living room is extended onto a sea facing patio with an unobstructed view of the inter-coastal tidal zone. Quality linen and towels provided.

Lorraine is such a lovely person and host, we had a wonderful time in the villa! Great location, just by the ocean, all was perfect. Big garden with child playground, great braa ( grill area ). I really recommend!
What a beautiful place! So pristinely clean, beautiful bedding, amazing views. The most well equipped place ever! Three very spacious bedrooms and the nicest host we ever did meet! Stunning braai area and when they swimming and the sea are (not even) 50m away it's true! The host was beyond helpful and also so informative about everything that we could do right on our doorstep. A beautiful magical spot! This really can become a home from home - just superb! Thank you Werner and family!
This gorgeous place has all the bells and whistles and more!! Werner is a very friendly and helpful host and his patient and welcoming personality made our stay very pleasant and comfortable.
The acommodation was good. It had everything we needed. We loved the balcony with the great few. The host was very helpful and we enjoied the greatful hospitality! I can recommend this acommodation. I hope to come back again

Kleinmond forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve and the Kleinmond coastline is exceptional in its range of coastal habitats and marine flora and fauna mostly due to the contrasting influences of the warm Agulhas and cold Benguela currents, which drive productivity and biodiversity along the coast. Be rejuvenated by the clean unpolluted healthy sea air often described as 'champagne air' with 'an extra molecule of oxygen'!
Sandy beaches, rocky reefs, rivers and estuaries abound to provide hours of exploring and relaxing. Kleinmond boasts 2 sandy beaches. Sandown beach – or Kleinmond main beach – is a short 300 meter stroll away from your accommodation and was rewarded with Blue Flag status for the 2011 season. The beach provides safe swimming with lifeguards on duty for most of the year, a shallow lagoon popular with kids, a restaurant with open deck for perfect sundowners, a picnic area under the Milkwood trees with kiddies play park next to the lagoon and small boats for hire to paddle around on the lagoon or view the feral horses resident at the Kleinmond marshes. Surfing is often good at the point.
Kelp forests and large intertidal rock pools (40 meters from Die Rotse Host House & Self-catering) provide food and safety for fish and other marine animals – a natural and safe 'swimming pool' where kids can learn about the sea and the beautiful eco-system of living sea organisms. This is where the '1st fish you catch, catches you' applies.

I graduated at the University of Stellenbosch obtaining my B-degree and holding postgraduate diplomas in Business Administration and Strategic Management from Unisa and State University of California. I joined the ABSA Group in 1969 and was instrumental in setting up Absa’s 1st dealing room, became Chief Dealer:Money and Capital Markets and later appointed General Manager: Foreign Exchange. Served ACI: South Africa as Vice-President and later received honorary membership. I was instrumental in the training of dealers, with specific reference to “best market practices and personal conduct”. In 1998 I was the elected representative for Africa and Middle East of ACI’s Committee for Professionalism, who produced the 1st Edition of "The Model Code", Officially launched in Paris 2000. During 2001 I became Chairman of the Committee for Professionalism a position I held until 2007. Between 2002- 2007. I was Head of Treasury and International Banking, as well as Acting Managing Director of Banco Austral S.A.R.L .(2007-2008) Mozambique, member of the Absa Group and retired from the Group after 40 uninterrupted years in 2009. In 2010 I restored the Historic family home "Die Rotse" in Kleinmond and entered the Hospitality Industry.
