We fell in love with Goose Croft and Edale. The whole experience was perfect from start to finish. God blessed our visit with beautiful weather. We hiked in various directions straight from the door. There are excellent resources, maps and books, for the area in the cottage. The garden and birds feeding there are spectacular. Paul and Jill are warm and welcoming! Thank you for opening up your part of the world to us travelers!

We had a lovely time at Jill’s cottage.. it is so comfortable, cosy, clean …well equipped and designed. It is in the perfect position in a beautiful garden with views of the hills all around. There are many lovely walks from the doorstep. Everything we needed was within walking distance including the station.

Surely one of the best located airnbnbs in the country for the walker. One of England’s great wildernesses on your doorstep. Not large but snug and cosy. Great wood burner. Everything you might expect is provided. Great village store 40 seconds walk away. Excellent pub even nearer…but you can’t see it or hear it. Private space. Comfy bed, good size. Friendly, helpful but non-invasive host. Just an all-round win.

Goose Croft is a lovely cottage perfectly situated to explore the treasures of the Peak District. It is absolutely spotless and the owners have renovated this historic stone cottage to perfection cleverly maximising every inch of space . Whilst the cottage has every modern facility, it also has a homely feel with a wood burner in the fireplace which makes it so cosy. We also enjoyed watching the birds visit the garden encouraged by cleverly positioned bird feeders in the garden. Our host Jill greeted us with such friendliness and although we did not have any need to call on her we would have felt comfortable to have done so. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we would not hesitate to recommend it as a perfect cottage for two in a beautiful part of the country .
