We had a lovely stay in the stunning apartment. Location was excellent and the building itself was beautiful. The original apartment itself is split into two Airbnb rentals (which Francesca rents out separately) with a shared indoor courtyard. The apartment is in the historic centre and close to both tourist and non-tourist bars and restaurants which Francesca gave good recommendations on. It is also about 1km from the train station, which is handy for day trips to beaches and attractions in the region.

Francesca’s apartment was in a perfect location to explore Lecce. She is an extremely kind, responsive and accommodating host. She gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The apartment is in the historical center of Lecce and it is not possible to park there. We were able to find free street parking outside the walls of the old city about a 10 minute walk from the apartment.

Place was great. Francesca was quick to respond- so helpful with check in and advice. Having a full bath & 1/2 bath (only toilet) in bedroom was nice. Kitchen was complete. Even dishwasher. But having a washer and dryer was really a big PLUS!

This is a very nice apartment in a good location that was an enjoyable stay. However, the parking situation was of major concern and gave us problems the entire week we were there. The free parking spots outside the City walls and within 20 minutes walk were always taken when we needed to park. Therefore we had to use paid parking spaces that required payment from 9:00-14:00 & 16:00-21:00. If we were staying in town for the day we paid from 9:00-21:00 to avoid walking out to the car again to save a few euros. However, I still had to go out and back at 9am to pay! If we went on an excursion for the day and returned in the afternoon we had trouble finding a spot close by making it a long walk in the morning. In essence, our trip to Leece revolved around the parking situation which was a great inconvenience. Our host Francesca tried to give us solutions but none of them worked so we battled with finding and paying for parking the whole week. Otherwise it's a nice place to stay.
