You'll be staying in a gorgeous residential community in the Tuckaseegee River Valley near Great Smoky Mountain National Park and a few miles from Western Carolina University. The property has lovely mountain views and guests can hear and see a bit of the river. Your apartment is on the ground floor and includes a private entrance leading to your own living area, kitchenette, closets and bathroom. Great for couples, families, students, outdoor enthusiasts or folks traveling for business. The in-law apartment is comfortable and roomy. You'll be on the ground floor of our home with a separate entrance and two windows. The room includes a flat-screen television with Roku for ease in streaming your digital accounts and DVD player. We have a pack and play available for your use. The kitchen appliances are smaller than typical but still fit most cooking needs. There's a drop down table in the cabinet next to the bed that doubles as a desk, and two folding chairs are stored in the closet for your use.

The place was nice and cozy and Sara was very quick to respond, I wish I could have stayed longer!!
We unfortunately had to cancel our stay because of a power outage in the area. But we greatly appreciated Sara diligently keeping us apprised throughout the entire morning -- even as early as 6:30 the morning of our stay -- of the outage status. She was even willing to go out of her way to find a friend to help fill the airbed, should we decide to still stay. This is not our first stay at Sara's place. We keep returning because the unit's location is great and Sara is always friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.
Sara's basement air bnb was great! Check in was very easy, the room was cozy, and it all went very smoothly! Sara was very responsive, and made sure we had what we needed. The bed is a "fold out" murphy bed, and so it is of course not quite as comfortable as a normal bed, but we knew this beforehand and so that wasn't a surprise necessarily. The room is very private and check in process was smooth. It is right next to a beautiful creek as well, and the town of Sylva is right up the road which has a lot of great food/drink options.
Sara did an outstanding job being a host from start to finish !! Highly Recommended!!!

Walkable neighborhood features a sidewalk to the nearest grocery store, a softball/kickball field behind the house, and the beautiful Tuckaseegee River - best fly fishing river in the East - which can be heard from your open window and only a short walk away. Our home is on a scenic bike route. Nearby attractions include fly fishing, rafting, hiking, and quaint downtown Sylva and Dillsboro. Driving to Western Carolina University takes about 7 minutes, the Blue Ridge Parkway is 20 min, and Bryson City, the Smoky Mountain Railroad, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park are all under 30 minutes away.
Parking is available directly outside the apartment door for up to 2 vehicles.
A path through the woods behind the house allows guests to walk to a softball field and the mountain village of Webster.
Jackson County Transit provides on-call van transportation as needed.
