Perfect stay ! Vicky is reactive and Liz kindly showed us the house when we arrived. The house has a spirit. Each room is lovely and the view on the lake is fabulous. Everything we need is provided , more than expected. I highly recommend this charming nest !

Absolutely amazing place to stay, just could not get enough of the views, in the days absolutely stunning natural scenery and the nights the sky was so full of stars you would not believe

This house is something else. It had a great atmosphere and was very peaceful. Walking up to the view of the lake every morning was a very peaceful experience. There are many great walks around the area through natural woodland and around the lake. Glenveigh is walkable if you head along by the Glebe. It's 8 k through the National Park from there. Vicky is very communicative and provided some great information about the house and location. I didn't have a car there but it is easy to get a taxi into town if needed. There's a card on the fridge. Ask for Pat or Sean. I imagine I'll return here again. Thanks Vicky.

Vicky's cottage is in a beautiful, tranquil location overlooking the lake. We walked to the Colmcille Heritage Centre which we thoroughly enjoyed, especially as Carol who volunteers/runs the centre had great activities for our children. Artist Derek Hill's Glenveagh Art Gallery is close by- we continued our walk from the heritage centre to the art gallery and back home. About 7 miles. Great for visiting Glenveagh Castle, Ards and Dunfanaghy. We also visited Derry which is about a 50minute drive to visit the walls and the Ferry Derry Museum- a must visit alongside the Tower Museum with the Derry Girls exhibition. The house was very comfortable and warm. Our children enjoyed playing chess, cards and chequers. Lots of great books to read too. We had a very friendly welcome from Liz who met us at the house with the keys and gave us a tour of the house. Communication was very easy. We had a great time exploring Donegal and really enjoyed our stay at Vicky's cottage.
