Tom’s place is a pristine converted barn 8 miles from Bath. Newly renovated and has a beautiful view of the countryside as well as some horses and a donkey :). Highly recommend for a weekend away in Bath and the surrounding area.
My Wife and I stayed in the barn for 2 nights, and we loved every minute of it. Tom and his family (and his cats and dogs) were so lovely and friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us! They even offered to tow us out of the area after it snowed! :) The barn was stunning, and fully equipped so you wouldn’t even have to leave if you didn’t want to. The area is stunning and the farm it is on was great to walk around and see all of the animals, wildlife and views. The underfloor heating throughout made the barn feel cosy and homely. We would without a doubt return, and have already recommended this to our family and friends.
Excellent accommodation with everything you could wish for. The accommodation is exactly as presented in the photos: beautiful, homely and comfortable. It is set in an idyllic location combining beautiful countryside with easy access by car to Bath, Bristol, M4 etc. There is plenty to do nearby too. Lovely, welcoming hosts who are very responsive to any queries and have wonderful local knowledge. It’s so lovely - I extended my stay!
Had an amazing time at the Bull Pen. A perfect balance being close to Bath, Bristol and the middle of nowhere. As Tom showed us around the farm, we met their 2 horses, 1 donkey, 4 dogs and half a dozen cats. It really added to the experience and we made memories that we would never of had in the city. Dyrham Park is a 5 minute walk away which is a great day out, and there's a nice gastro pub called "The Bull" a 5 minute drive away.
Peaceful location but close enough by car to nearby City and villages. Accommodation characterful, superbly designed and ample in space for the two of us. Lovely pubs nearby with good menu’s. Manager at the Crown was delightful Tom responsive and helpful with local recommendations Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return
