I retired after 25 years running my own little interiors business so hopefully understand how to make a home cosy and interesting and have enjoyed being a hostess on the Airbnb platform for four plus years now. I adore living in the Royal Borough of Tunbridge Wells and have been here since 2005 when I moved to be in a friendly welcoming community. I am resourceful and love meeting new people. In no particular order the things I love most about Tunbridge Wells are... -The Pantiles where you can wander and get the feel of what it was like to live in this gorgeous Spa town when it first evolved. -The common rolling countryside and an early Victorian racetrack just a few minutes from the town centre. -Our wonderful parks : Calverly Grounds with the bandstand bowling green and live music festivals. Dunorlan Park with its boating lake, Grosvenor and Hilbert with its wilderness and Hartlake a sort of natural woodland that’s quite spiritual too. Juliet’s- Wonderful breakfast, brunch, lunch or just watch the world go by and scoff cake. -Fuggles -Quirky local beers and interesting tapas food at Fuggles the beer cafe as you wander down into town. -Bicycle Bakery in Camden road fabulous artisan bread cakes and coffee sit in or take out. -St Johns fish n chips a few minutes walk from the house if you want a comfort supper at home -Thursday live Jazz nights at the Pantiles bandstand every week from May until the Summer fades. -Kitsu but remember to BYO booze to Sushi Noodle bar in town booking needed at the weekends. -Kirthon scruffy but great view over the Pantiles and gorgeous Indian food . -Junaki unusual fabulous curry are a few minutes walk from the house and both offer take out too. -The Trinity Theatre. -The Assembly Hall. -Wetherspoon’s in our Opera house maybe worth stopping for a quick drink to see this historic building. -The farmers market and French and craft market most weekends in the Pantiles check out their dates.
