We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Nilenes ironstone cottage and would have loved to stay longer. It’s a beautiful, peaceful farm outside Graff-Reinet. Nilene and everybody else on the farm are super friendly and always helping out. We can definitely recommend spending some time at this place and enjoy the peace. We’ll definitely come back someday!

Perfect little gem, the farm surroundings are quite peaceful and beautiful. Lovely little splash pool which helped cool us down in the summer heat, and the rooms were fitted with airconditioning as well which was a blessing during the heatwave we experienced during our stay. It was our third return, and we always leave rejuvenated and well rested. 11 out of 10
Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht in dem ironstone cottage. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Ein ruhiger Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Alles war sehr sauber. Und der dip Pool war erfrischend.
Had another fantastic stay here - it’s such a comfortable and beautiful spot to hang out. We will be back again next year and are looking forward to it already.Cannot recommend it highly enough. All the best Jerry and Alessandra

We have spent the last few years restoring and renovating our properties in beautiful Graaff Reinet and on our farm outside it, both for guests and our own Cape Dutch homes, having moved from Britain where we still keep close ties. We take a regenerative approach to our cattle farm which works hand in hand with our efforts at wildlife conservation on the property. We try to give as much back to this community as it has given us!
