We had a great time at Honicombe, and the house was a fantastic base to explore the grounds and wider area. The house itself has everything you need: well equipped kitchen, loads of storage, great big TV (we brought our own firestick so can't comment on the channels/streaming provided), the hot tub is a fantastic bonus. You are provided with bath towels, and the beds are fully made, so don't need to bring your own linen. My one suggestion for improving the kitchen, would be to replace the dishwasher with a washing machine, as we hardly used the dishwasher and had to make a laundrette run into Callington midway through the holiday, which was a pain. The staff onsite at the shop and pub were lovely, the pools are great, all very clean and booking a slot was very easy. There was loads to do onsite and locally - the maize maze was particularly fun! Beaches are under an hour's drive away. Overall this was a fantastic holiday, and we were very sad to leave.

Lovely time with family. We enjoyed the hot tub it was lovely and clean, as was the kitchen. Unfortunately, we had an issue with ants in the shower and bathroom throughout our stay. This was an unwanted pain due to having to clean the shower each morning to remove both live and dead ants. We reported this, and maintenance came round the following day and dowsed the whole external perimeter with ant powder. Despite this issue, we enjoyed our stay and explored the area and loved Polperro and Tavistock (especially the panniers market). Both worth a visit.

Lovely peaceful setting, very little noise so very easy to relax and unwind. Lodge had everything you would want for your stay, hot tub a great bonus and nicely secluded so felt private. Comfy double bed and good shower. Site is hilly, did not use site facilities.

Lovely lodge, very clean and well equipped. Good base for local exploring . Hot tub was beautifully clean and enjoyable. The balcony was a glorious sun trap. We’ve had one of our best holidays.
