I stayed at Ometepe Bananas for three consecutive weeks doing research and writing a non-fiction book. This Airbnb is located in a natural, peaceful setting that encourages guests to help maintain that relaxing environment. As a result I appreciated being able to easily focus on my writing. Efraim and his wife are excellent hosts in every way: thoughtful, helpful, considerate, and generous (their meals are great too). A well deserved 5 Star review from me!

Positiv war, dass das Zimmer sauber war und wir günstig Roller leihen konnten (10 Euro/Tag). Trotzdem gab es einige Punkte, die unseren Aufenthalt nicht gerade angenehm gemacht haben. Schon die Anreise war verzwickt, weil Efraim uns eine Fähre von Granada empfohlen hat, die gar nicht gefahren ist. Okay, kommt vor, aber wir haben uns allgemein nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt, was unter anderem daran lag, dass wir eher den Eindruck hatten, dass Efraim mit uns Geld verdienen will anstatt gemeinsam eine gute Zeit zu haben. Was uns besonders große Umstände bereitet hat, war, dass wir nur 2 anstatt die gebuchten 3 Nächte bleiben konnten. Efraim hat sich zwar freundlicherweise um eine Alternative gekümmert, uns aber den Umzug gleichzeitig erschwert, indem er uns den Roller nicht für 48 Stunden zur Verfügung stellte, obwohl wir für 2 Tage bezahlt hatten. Was zumindest ein bisschen ärgerlich war, war, dass die Wäsche des Laundry-Service nicht wirklich sauber wurde. Insgesamt ist also zu sagen: Es war kompliziert, wir haben stets Lösungen gefunden, aber ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen war es für uns nicht.

Efraim is a really friendly host that spoke great english and helped us with everything we needed! We rented a scooter and went to the top of a volcano (which was reeaally hard) but a lot of fun. You should try the rum too! The place was a lot more beautifull than the pictures and we had a great time there! I'd definitely recommend staying there :)

Notre séjour était génial, Efraim et sa famille sont hyper aimable et super gentil. Ils sont arrangeant et plein de bon conseil. Scooter, repas, massage, monté du volcan, et plein d’autres activités! Je vous recommande fortement cet hôtel si vous venez sur Ometepe ! 🤗🤗
