Orlando’s place is the perfect destination for solo travelers and remote workers. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for during my stay. Everyone here is so friendly and reliable. If you’re also looking to explore yourself and the potential of working from anywhere with peace of mind, I highly recommend this place.
Orlando’s father is simply amazing! I am a solo female traveller and he treated me like one of his daughters. Although I don’t speak spanish, we used translation apps and had beautiful conversations. I took the option to pay for breakfast and dinner every day and it was the best choice I made! The food was fresh and always made with love, Orlando’s father is an amazing cook and he goes above and beyond. All vegetables he uses for his guests are from his organic garden. And the eggs used for breakfast are laid by his chickens! For a small fee (the price of gas) he brought me to and from the Catarata Las Trillizas (beautiful waterfall approximately 15 min drive away), and a horseback riding and coffee tour in Aquiares (also around a 15 min drive). If interested in the 4 hour tour, ask Orlando for Andrew’s contact he was simply amazing. The view from the property is stunning, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I recommend Verbena and Casa Paz 1000%. I will certainly be back!
Very peaceful spot that is also not far from town
Casa Paz is like a piece of paradise with expansive views over Turialba valley and surrounding hills/mountains. There is a huge pristine forest and creek in and adjacent to the property. I saw all kinds of birds flitting around in front of the property. Toucans as Well. The private room and bathroom are big and also has a balcony to enjoy the views. Orlando prepares some authentic and tasty food. Food is fresh, tasty along with healthy salads and fruits. I did not feel guilty gorging on them:) It provided me a view into the life of the people and the beauty of costa rica. Which was exactly what I was hoping to get out of my trip. The room gets a fresh breeze and light in the mornings. And if there are no clouds you can see the sun rising over the hills. Easy driving distance and public transport access to Guyabo, Catie And other hiking trails and resorts. I fractured and dislocated my ankle and Orlando(s) went above and beyond in helping. 2 days alltime help. Helpful and kind spirits.

You can go to Guayabo National Park which is the biggest archaeological site in CR, located in the center of one of the more diverse zones in Costa Rica, Also visit the two highest volcanos in Costa Rica: Turrialba and Irazú Volcanoes and practice Rafting, Paragliding, Trekking, and Canopy.
Also, we know where the best waterfalls are, or what about going to watch a local producer in his milking barn. We can recommend you a great coffee tour or a restaurant. There are so many options that you can tell us what are you interested in and we will give you all the best tips that only a local know.
A car is recommended although we can give you recommendations if you are using public transportation. We can also get you a shuttle service, or if you come from the bus stop from Turrialba my father can pick you up.
